I was prepared to head home to FL after working at my friends restaurant just outside of Aspen, CO. The day before I was to leave I awoke to about 8 inches of fresh powder. I unpacked my gear and hopped the bus over to Buttermilk Mt. I was truly surprised to find that the slopes were not crowded.

I spent the morning gliding down as many runs as I could, making fresh tracks. The snow was so perfect I couldn't fall down no matter how bad my form. I did run after run, from 8 AM to 3 PM, laughing and giggling like a little kid. On the bus back my face actually hurt from smiling so much. I will always remember that day and my magic carpet rides.
