Fifty Sense Seal of Approval Adventure© Medical Kits is committed to developing innovative first aid and outdoor survival products that help people enjoy safe outdoor adventures. Co-designed with top emergency, outdoor, marine and travel medicine experts, AMK’s activity-specific products are specially designed to prevent and treat common injuries and ailments that occur during outdoor activities, including mountaineering, hunting, sailing, hiking or traveling.

The company markets a wide range of survival products, including its top-selling Thermo-Lite® Bivvy Sack and Pocket Survival Pak™, and bug repellants and bite treatments, such as Ben’s® insect repellent and the world-famous AfterBite©. More recently, the company has expanded into the hygiene category, with the release of the Adventure® Hand Sanitizer and exclusive distribution into the outdoor retail channel of Fresh Bath™ Wipes , both of which help reduce the likelihood people will contract an illness while out in the field.

Ultralight / Watertight .9 - 2010 Edition Medical Kit

We tested the largest of the ultralight medical kits. This company understands that when people are active, they want whatever is necessary to be safe, but do not want any added weight.

This kit features proprietary DryFlex bags for the ultimate in ultralight, waterproof storage. This if for the multi-sport athlete who refuses to be let down or weighed down by his or her gear. This is your first aid kit if you are a multisport enthusiast who actively hikes, mountain bikes, climbs, kayaks, or does other high-risk activities on a regular basis. It is for 1-4 people and only weighs 10 ounces. It comes with a handy ingredients list and a description for uses. You can contact the company for refills.

We couldn’t think of anything left out of this kit. Go to the site to get a complete list of products. It includes some items not found in another kit such as a wound irrigation system to clean and close wounds, medication for diarrhea, inflammation, allergic reactions, bee stings and insect bites, a trauma pad and compression bandage for bleeding, die-cut moleskin dressing for preventing and treating blisters, and a swift wrap elastic bandage with Velcro.
