Clothing: Underwear

Underwear is so important when planning a trip. Leave the cotton fabrics home because they will not wik away the moisture and do not dry quickly. Microfiber or nylon fabric dries quickly, and will have more freedom of movement. The last thing you want is to have your underwear uncomfortable! Many backpackers end up not wearing underwear because of the comfort.

When looking for bras, think about if you want to also wear them for outerwear? Do you need support, or just don’t want the “headlights” showing? Go with the lightest material that fits your needs, and make sure you have comfort!

We hope you not only learn something new, but will also share your experiences with us. Send in your outerwear experiences and reviews and share them others! Send us an email with your experiences, reviews, comments or suggestions, or if you cannot find what you are looking for, Email Us. If you add to our knowledge by sending us pictures, your story, information, and/or product reviews, you may even be selected for our weekly feature!
